Fernwood was hired by The Beaumont Studios to create an identity and website for their all-new radio station. Bside.radio is a livestream + broadcasting platform for emerging, local and seasoned musical artists from a variety of genres.

We presented 2 design concepts. The first drawn from the existing Beaumont brand style guide, while the alternate (and chosen direction) was pulled from inspiration the client provided during our discovery phase. Muted, industrial, modern. We applied 3 brand colours (primarily blue on b+w, with hits of yellow and pink for titles or small graphics) Understated and cool. More about the receiving side of music - production, recording, underground spaces; allowing for the content to do the work.

With the identity approved, we moved into UI UX design and development of a fully-functional Wordpress website featuring WPLive player built-in for live audio/video streaming, APIs for dynamic content third-party integrations, archive, contributor submission form, contact form and mailer-lite newsletter.
